Director of Rehabilitation


Welcome to Salina Regional Health Center Rehabilitation. Our department takes the Salina Regional Health Center mission to heart as we work to “Improve the health of those who entrust us with their lives – the patients and communities we serve.”

We view our involvement with you as a partnership or a relationship, where we have a responsibility to keep you, the patient, at the center of all we do.

Denice Justus, PT, DPT, Cert. DN

Clinic Manager

Education: Bachelors of Science degree, Kansas Wesleyan University, 1998; Master of Physical Therapy, Wichita State University, 2001; Doctor of Physical Therapy, University of Montana 2021

Additional Training: Dry Needling Certified, APTA Certificate of Achievement in Pelvic Physical Therapy (CAPP) levels I, II and III, Essential Control Internal Examination of the Pelvic floor training certificate, Beyond Kegals II Advanced Techniques and Special Populations training certificate, Vestibular Rehabilitation Therapy (VRT) training certificate, and Credentialed Clinical Instructor

Clinic Focus: Specializes in pelvic floor and vestibular dysfunction, but also treats general post-surgical and orthopedic patients

Other Passions: Enjoys traveling, golfing, and spending time with her family and dogs

Laura Sweeney, PT, DPT, Cert. ASTYM

Education: Bachelors of Science degree in Exercise Science, University of Kansas, 2010; Doctorate in Physical Therapy, University of Kansas Medical Center, 2014

Additional Training: Certified ASTYM provider and is trained in LSVT BIG for patients with Parkinson’s disease

Clinic Focus: Treats a variety of patients including post-surgical rehabilitation and general orthopedics

Other Passions: Enjoys traveling

Nicholas Johansen, PT, DPT, CSCS

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Health Science, Wichita State University, 2013; Doctor of Physical Therapy, Wichita State University, 2016

Additional Training: Certified in providing workplace analysis, pre-employment screening and functional capacity evaluations

Clinic Focus: Treats a wide variety of patients with musculoskeletal conditions, including sports injuries, concussions and repetitive injuries

Other Passions: Spending time with family, yard work/outdoor activity, beer brewing

Maggie Ginest, PT, DPT, Cert. ASTYM

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Bethany College, 2013; Doctorate of Physical Therapy, Wichita State University, 2016

Additional Training: Certified ASTYM provider

Clinic Focus: General orthopedic and sports related injuries

Other Passions: Enjoys spending time with her family and two black labs

Elissa Westbrook, PT, DPT, ATC/L, Cert. DN, Cert. ASTYM

Education: Bachelor of Arts in Athletic Training, Bethany College, 2012; Doctor of Physical Therapy, Wichita State University, 2016

Additional Training: Certified in Astym, dry needling level one for cervical/lumbar and upper and lower extremities

Clinic Focus: Treats a variety of orthopedic and sports conditions and injuries; pediatric population, aquatic therapy

Other Passions: Enjoys spending time with her family and being outside and on the farm

Dan Sellers, PT, DPT

Education: Bachelors of Science in Community Health with a concentration in Physical Activity from Louisiana State University in Shreveport 2010; Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University of St Augustine in St Augustine, FL 2014

Additional Training: Completed courses in paris manual therapy, myopain dry needling level 1, myopain dry needling level 2, and hoffa massage

Clinic Focus: Enjoys treating post-surgical rehabilitation, general orthopedic conditions, and sports related injuries

Other Passions: Avid swimmer, martial arts, fitness, and adventuring outdoors

Miah Veach, DPT

Education: Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology, Kansas State University, 2020; Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University of Kansas, 2024

Clinic Focus: Treats post-surgical conditions and general orthopedic conditions

Other Passions: Enjoys spending time with her husband, family, dog Archie, traveling, and being outdoors

Thomas Meuli, PT, DPT

Education: Bachelor’s of Science degree in Athletic Training, Fort Hays State University, 2019; Doctor of Physical Therapy, Wichita State University, 2023

Additional Training: LSVT BIG for patient’s with Parkinson’s Disease

Clinic Focus: General orthopedic conditions and sports related injuries

Other Passions: Enjoys hunting and fishing along with other various outdoor activities

Brandon Magazine, PT, DPT, Cert. DN

Education: Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science with a Business Minor, University of Kansas, 2020; Doctorate in Physical Therapy, University of Kansas Medical Center, 2023

Additional Training: Experience as a personal care assistant, Parkinson’s Exercise class aide, and Fitness Specialist at the University of Kansas while attending PT school

Clinic Focus: Treats post-surgical, general orthopedic conditions, and sports related injuries

Other Passions: Enjoys fitness, golf, outdoor activities, and spending time with family and friends

Morgan Salem, PT, DPT

Education: Bachelors of Art in Exercise Science, Wichita State University, 2019; Doctorate of Physical Therapy, Wichita State University, 2023

Clinic Focus: Enjoys treating a variety of patients including general orthopedics, post-surgical rehabilitation, and sports-related conditions.

Amanda Hilzer, PTA, ATC/L

Crystal Smelser, PTA

Other Passions: Riding horses, helping her husband take care of their cattle

Clinic Focus: Sports Related Injuries, Outpatient, Acute Care, Skilled Care Rehab, General Orthopedic Conditions, and interest in aquatics and pediatrics
